Why this site exists

Storage vendors make storage calculators. Camera vendors make camera design tools. Ecosystem vendors make compatibility selectors. Each can be useful, but a planner still has to carry assumptions from one tab to the next. Camera Ledger keeps the common constraints in one neutral worksheet and shows the arithmetic behind the answer.

The tools are useful without advertisements, accounts, or product sales. Project inputs are calculated in the browser. We do not accept payment to change a formula or hide a limitation.

How we publish

• Prefer a user-entered device specification over an invented resolution preset.
• Separate raw video, overhead, protection, and free-space reserve.
• Link to primary standards pages and technical documentation where accessible.
• State where geometry or arithmetic stops and real commissioning begins.
• Correct material changes and show the review date on guides.
